Mobility Accessibility
Due to the building’s landmark status, the Fourth Street Theatre (Next Door) is not a wheelchair accessible space. There are 8 stairs leading from the street level to the main floor of the building where the theatre is located and another 22 stairs leading down to the gallery floor where audience restrooms are located. Additional restrooms are located next door in the box office lobby, including a wheelchair-accessible restroom.

The box office lobby has two restrooms: one “GENERAL SEATING” restroom with two private toilet stalls and one “STANDING ROOM ONLY” restroom with a single toilet stall and two urinals. All stalls are equipped with handrails and the first stall in the “GENERAL SEATING” restroom is sized to accommodate mobility aids. The restroom doorways are 26″ wide.

The Fourth Street Theatre (Next Door) is set up with upholstered chairs measuring 18 ½” wide x 16” deep with seats 18 ½” off the ground and armrests. If you need a different style of chair, NYTW can also provide the following: Wooden folding chairs measuring 15 ½” wide x 14 ½” deep with seats 17 ½” off the ground, or plastic chairs measuring 18” wide x 15” deep with seats 18 ½” off the ground.

Watch this space for information about how to let NYTW know about your seating needs. If you have a question in the interim, please email

Hearing Accessibility
The Fourth Street Theatre (Next Door) is not technologically equipped for NYTW’s assisted listening devices or for open captioning. Parity Productions is trying to secure ASL interpretation for one performance of Mirrors and will publicize widely if/when that service becomes available. Please let us know if this is a service you are interested in by emailing

Vision Accessibility
The Fourth Street Theatre (Next Door) is not technologically equipped for audio description.
Large print playbills are not available in printed format for Mirrors at Next Door @ NYTW, but audience members who need larger text and who have mobile devices can access a full-color commemorative playbill (which can be zoomed in for larger text) through the QR code on the back of their printed playbill.

Service Animals
Well-behaved service animals used by persons with a disability are allowed to accompany said person into the Theatre. Service animals must rest in the seating area of the individual during the performance. Animals are unable to occupy the aisle during a performance. NYTW suggests that the individual carries proof of certification or a license for the service animal.
